This type of wagon, which was built in series from the mid-1920s, was found all over Germany, but especially in Silesia. They survived World War II for the most part, but were replaced relatively early by newer and heavier cars until about the mid-1950s. They did not live to see the introduction of the new class letters, in this case "F" for special design open freight wagons. In eastern Germany, they were in service a little longer until new wagons were available there as well.
If you now want to put together a long block train of ore or coal wagons, you are very well advised to do so.
