The freight wagons of the class Fcs 086 would be procured by the German Federal Railways from 1957. A total of about 2600 pieces were procured, at that time still with the old generic letter “O”.

From the 1970s, the cars were modernized, e.g. the control valve of the brake would be replaced and a change of brake position would be installed. With the conversion, the cars were finally able to travel at speeds of 100 km/h. This state, after the reconstruction, is also shown in the model.

By 1994, all cars would be phased out, but before that some of them would be sold to the German Reichsbahn of the GDR.

The model is except for the windows (60032) of which 6 pieces would be installed completely from Lego build bar, unfortunately these windows are not available in color. If the model is to be built from Lego, it is recommended to exchange it for the part 60592.
