The locomotives, designated 99.23-24 before 1970, originated from the DR's new construction programme between 1954 and 1957. The total of 17 machines were procured for the Harzquer and Brocken Railway as well as for the Eisfeld-Schönbrunn narrow gauge network.
Today, 8 locomotives are still operational and some of them are in daily scheduled service.
In order to remain operational in the future, 10 locomotives were fitted with new frames and new welded cylinders between 2004 and 2010.
The model can be equipped with the Powered Up System and M-Motor.
The minimum driving radius is R36 narrow gauge, available from TrixBrix.eu – Lego compatible train tracks.

Leider ist das Modell nur in 6W. Besser wäre 7W/8W gewesen. Das würde den Maßstab 1:45- bis 1:48 entgegen kommen. Optisch ist das Modell gelungen. Unpraktisch ist das Powerup System. Leider! AKKU bzw. Batterien lassen sich nicht optimal austauschen. Großes bekanntes Lego Problem. Ich empfehle MK AKKUBOX und Steuerung. Dazu muss aber die Bauanleitung angepasst werden. Diese ist leider an einigen Stellen sehr unübersichtlich. Das Antriebskonzept für Schmalspurdampfloks ist gelungen. Ich hatte erst bedenken zur Stabilität, aber diese konnten während des Baufortschrittes ausgeräumt werden. Ein Update der Bauanleitung wäre wünschenswert. Ich wünsche mir mehr Schmalspurprojekte von Euch. Für Fragen stehe ich gern zur Verfügung. LG Jan
