The DSB MY (II) are diesel-electric locomotives that Danske Statsbaner purchased from the mid-1950s to replace steam locomotives on main lines with high axle loads. At DSB, the locomotives were used for all types of trains, in their last years of operation still in front of light and medium-heavy goods trains. Since 1992, this type of locomotive has no longer been in scheduled service with the DSB. In Germany, some locomotives have changed owners more frequently: After being used by Norddeutsche Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (NEG), Eichholz Verkehr und Logistik and Eichholz Eivel GmbH, Eurotrac locomotives were sold on to various companies.
