FOUNDER AND CEO of derKlassiker

Robert Staringer

The company derKlassiker was founded in 2011 out of a hobby by our CEO Ing. Staringer Robert. He was an enthusiastic LEGO® builder as a child and has kept it up into adulthood.

With the sale of the first large-scale model, the Gloriette made of over 14,500 LEGO® components for the company MÜLLER HANDELS GMBH & CO. KG. he launched the company and the themed sets.

Licensed public transport models for various Austrian transport companies followed. Since 2021, models have also been produced for German licence partners.

His main focus was on breathing new life into real models in minifigure scale. The models should inspire children and adults alike. That is why the models are very close to the original, and it is possible to equip them with lights and, in the case of trains, with an engine without affecting their external appearance. The children can remove the roofs and put minifigures in the models on the existing seats and in the driver's cabs. The driver's desks, gear levers and other details are reproduced as well as possible.

In addition to transport companies, other companies are also advised and supported by derKlassiker with model requests for merchandising from design to the finished series model. The same applies to large-scale models for presentation purposes.

The models are sought-after collector's items for adults who expand their derKlassiker collection year after year with new models from us.

For more than 10 years, we have been a reliable partner for our major customers and are pleased when we receive feedback from the buyers of the models, whether small or large, and requests for new themes and licences. Constructive criticism is also welcome and will be incorporated into the facelift models if possible.

We try to produce our models as long as possible for our customers. When parts are no longer available, we usually release a facelift of the model with new features and ideas.

Due to the many companies that have appeared on the market in recent years with models from Chinese production and then offer these at a lower price in relation to LEGO®, we will soon also produce the models with clamp brick components from alternative suppliers with the agreement of our licence partners where this is desired.

To ensure that we do not have any problems with quality and safety for our children, the clamping blocks used have been CE certified by an accredited German testing institute.

This means that our customers can choose whether they want to continue to have a collector's model made from LEGO® components or a somewhat cheaper one made from Asian production bricks.

In any case, we hope you continue to have fun with our models.
