Before the class 01 gained its reputation as "the" German express locomotive, the companies Borsig (01 001-008) and AEG (01 009-010) delivered a total of ten pre-production locomotives to the Deutsche Reichsbahn Gesellschaft (DRG). The first of these was 01 008, which is still in existence today and was handed over to the DRG on January 10, 1926. However, the locomotives were still ahead of their time at that time, because many lines and also depots were not yet prepared for an axle load of 20 tons. As a result, the routes on which the locomotives could be used were still very limited in the first few years of operation. This meant that testing of the new locomotives took a long time.
The model is, as far as possible, a perfect representation of the real prototype which should not be missing on any layout. In the design process, the optics were in the foreground this time, which is why this locomotive is also something for the experienced farmer / in. The filigree construction can be a little difficult to build in some places, but what do you do for a perfect model.
Due to the realistic proportions of the well-known steam locomotive, especially in the undercarriage area, the model also needs a realistic radius (at least R72).
The model can be motorized by means of L-motor. The battery box is located in the tender, the infrared receiver in the cab: for details see the cab. In addition, a steam module can be installed in the front area of the boiler, which you can purchase here for small money: www.joooooy.com
