Die BR 232 oder auch Ludmilla ist eine Diesellok, sie wurde ab 1970 aus der Sowjetunion in die DDR Importiert und war dort sowohl als Güterlos als auch im Personenverkehr Unterwegs, zwischen 1970 und 1982 wurden insgesamt 873 Lokomotiven in Betrieb genommen.

Heute sind nur noch Modelle der Baureihe BR132/232 im Einsatz
