The class 218 of the Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) is a class of four-axle diesel locomotives. For many years it was the most common and most important representative of the West German mainline diesel locomotives. It can still be found today on many non-electrified lines of the Deutsche Bahn AG, both in long-distance and local passenger rail transport, as well as in freight transport.
The locomotive can be equipped with a powered up drive or with a 9 volt motor.

Der Wiedererkennungswert ist hoch. Jeder erkennt, dass es sich um eine Diesellok aus der Lokfamilie der 215-218er handelt. Die Lok wäre noch schöner, wenn Sie mit einer Windschutzscheibe 13760 mit entsprechendem Glaseinsatz 13756 angeboten würde. So habe ich sie gebaut. Außerdem habe ich die Farbe in “Sandgreen” geändert. Ein wirklich schönes und leicht aufzubauendes Modell.
