Originally called the Prussian P8, the locomotives were built from 1906 onwards. After some teething troubles had been eliminated, many European railway administrations ordered the P8s from 1914 onwards. The simple but robust machines became a jack-of-all-trades, even seeing service in front of the legendary FDD Rheingold Express. In total, between 3948 and 3962 vehicles were built, more than 500 of them reaching more than 50 years of service.
The model is therefore suitable for anyone who is looking for a universal locomotive and wants to use it flexibly, because no matter whether DR or DB the locomotive could be found all over Germany. It can already be driven from R56, and can be motorised via a traction motor, the Powered Up or Power Functions system.
In addition, a steam module can be installed, which you can purchase here: www.joooooy.com
